FieldWatt FAQ

Straight answers for the field.

Is FieldWatt a recruiter?

No. FieldWatt is a job discovery feed. Each listing sends you to the employer or source application. FieldWatt does not receive or manage your application.

Where do the jobs come from?

Listings come from a licensed job-feed partner and are refreshed every night. Each one is checked for renewable or grid field work before it goes in, and office roles, unrelated trades and listings that have left the source are dropped, usually within a few weeks. Employers can also place a job directly; those are labeled as featured.

Do I need a degree for field work?

Requirements depend on the employer and role. Many field jobs focus on licenses, practical experience, safety expectations, travel readiness, or job-specific training. Review the listing and the background-fit guides for a starting point.

Why is a job or program featured?

Employers and programs may pay for clearly labeled placements. A featured or sponsored label identifies paid visibility; it is not an endorsement or a guarantee of fit.

Are training programs vetted by FieldWatt?

No. Prospective students should independently review accreditation, licensing requirements, program costs, employer connections, and job-placement outcomes before enrolling.

How do alerts work?

The Tuesday email is free. Sign up with your email address to hear about new renewable field roles and use the role and state pages to focus your search.
